Build a model--get captured!

Photos from the 17 January 2007 meeting.  We had a good turn-out of models, with a number in progress, as well as some older models that members wanted to get on the website--enjoy.

Some photos of the "show what ya' brung' from the 20 December meeting.

Photos from the February meeting held at Rick McClellan's house in Shawnee.  Rick has a large HO scale railroad, and three of his friends joined the meeting to help us novices run the set-up.  These photos do not do justice to the size, complexity of his railroad and the fun we had.  Thanks Rick.

The March 2007 meeting was held at Nana's Hobbies, and had a good turn-out of members and a couple of new members for their first meeting.  It was also the first model of the quarter contest for the new year, and we had a good display of recently completed projects.  The people's choice was Brooks Lyle's model of Luftwaffe pilot.  Here's Brook's description of the project (see photo below):

Tamiya Luftwaffe Pilot model. Painted with Tamiya acrylics and Model Master Enamels. Scratch built table & easel (Balsa Wood), ashtray (1:35 British helmet), cigar (wire), pointer (stretched sprue and balsa), glass (Drilled out and polished clear sprue), and the Iron Cross Ribbon is painted lead foil. The Map is from one of the Dragon Luftwaffe Pilot Figures. The base is cut from a linoleum floor tile purchased at Home Depot
