Our annual show in Leavenworth is one week away! The doors open for registration at 9:00 a.m.; vendors you can get it at 8:00 a.m. to set up. Because we will still be moving tables around and doing other chores, we will not let anyone register before 9:00.
Parking in the early morning will be a little challenge, as a 100 mile bicycle race is starting near our venue and many of the parking slots were taken last year when we showed up. Luckily, many people select a shorter route, and by 10:00-10:30 there was no problem with parking.
Categories as well as the PDF registration forms are on our contest pages. Find them here. The special theme is 1940, and any autos, aircraft, AFVs, ships, etc in use in 1940 are eligible. If you think your model is eligible, make sure the registration desk marks your forms when you come in.
There has been a lot of construction in downtown Leavenworth over the past year, and a number of new or refurbished restaurants are available for lunch near our venue. Unfortunately the Italian restaurant and Grinder’s High Noon saloon, both within walking distance and being totally remodeled, will not be open by next Saturday.
Some people have had problems with the registration forms not being fillable when downloaded from our site. If you have problems, please email me and I’ll send you the files directly.
By the way, I spent some time adding our club newsletters for the past year. You can find them here: If you’d like to be added to our distro list and receive the newsletter directly each month, please send me an email.
Looking forward to seeing you in Leavenworth next weekend, Mark
